No Dejen de Buscarme. Two grants in support of this project:1) IRA (Instructionally Related Activities) Grant through San Diego State University, Imperial Valley Campus. 2) IMACUM, or Instituto Municipal de Arte y Cultura de Mexicali. The piece was performed at Steppling Art Gallery at SDSU/IV Campus and at an open lot in Mexicali-hosted by the art venue Escritorio de Procesos. January 2015.

Jaripeo Cabaret for the production ORO BLANCO. As a 2012-2013 recipient of the National Performance Network Performing Americas Program in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs’ CEI program and the Instituto Municipal de Arte y Cultura de Mexicali. Produced a performance and short dance film in collaboration with Mexicali-based performance art group Fundacion Wanna Winni as part of a one-month residency in Mexicali, Mexico. September 2012.

No Dejen de Buscarme (3 different venues) A piece that served as a response to the disappearance of 43 students of Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, Mexico. 1) At CARECEN (Central American Resource Center) for a fundraiser to benefit the parents of the 43 students in Ayotzinapa. Los Angeles, California. March 2015. /// For the following two performances, Rebeca invited L.A-based performance artists Dino Dinco and Rafa Esparza to present their artistic response to the Ayotzinapa events: 2) Steppling Art Gallery at SDSU/IV Campus. Pebbles. Rebeca was invited by the Pieter Council (Pieter Performance Art Space) to present her work for the event “Pieter Plays the LA River”. Los Angeles, California. September 2014.
Building: A Simulacrum of Power. Visual artist Michael Parker dug out a trench in the shape of an obelisk along the L.A. River. His obelisk, 137 feet long, replicates an ancient Egyptian archeological site. Performance artist Rafa Esparza covered the entire obelisk with bricks he handmade with his seven family members. Rafa and Rebeca collaborated in choreographing a piece on top of the obelisk. The performance took place on an August afternoon at sunset. August 2014. www.clockshop.org

Beasts. Curator Amy Converse invited Rebeca Hernandez and Victoria Wolfe to choreograph and perform a piece at Mack Sennett Studios in Hollywood. The performance, exhibition and feast also featured visual artists Candice Lin and Marina Roy. August 2014.
Performatica. Rebeca was invited to perform Memorias de un No Abrazo, screen a short dance film and teach a Floor Work class in Performatica, a dance forum that takes place in Puebla, Mexico that brings an international group of practicing dancers, choreographers, theorists and teachers of movement based work. April 2014.

Monthly morning performances for public schools in the Teatro del IMSS which the company was in charge of. Tour with Ensamble Jose Limon (three Mexican modern dance companies were chosen to perform pieces inspired by The Moor’s Pavane; toured with the Jose Limon Modern Dance Company); toured northern states in Mexico with Celosias and La noche encantada (choreography: Jorge Domínguez), and Rapsodia Urbana (choreography: Jesús Ponce). April- 2006.
